This b & b in Poole offers just that little bit more than your average Guest House in Dorset. On the ground floor is our Guest Lounge. Decorated to a very high standard and furnished with comfortable Leather, reclining sofas and some pieces of antique furniture.
There is a Wide Screen, Colour TV with Cable viewing channels and a book case full of books to suit all tastes in literature. We hope guests will enjoy relaxing here.
One of the best features of the Guest Lounge is the beautiful Victorian, tiled fireplace. During winter months we light a fire that heats the whole house through and offers guests something comforting and cosy to snuggle up to on a cold winters night. The Lounge is open to guests from 7.30am to 8pm.
Just off the Guest Lounge is the Conservatory Dining Room, which over looks the garden. Guests are invited to sit and enjoy our special Award Winning, Bees Knees Guest House Breakfasts. For guests who are not morning people, individual tables are provided or tables can be joined together to cater for groups of people wishing to sit together.
On one wall of the Conservatory Dining Room is a gallery of Shell’s watercolour paintings. In her spare time, Shell paints local scenery and hangs them on the wall for guests to enjoy but also to purchase as a memento of their stay or as a present for someone special back home.
Beyond the Conservatory Dining Room, is The Garden. A lovely quiet place to sit and relax, read a book or just listen to the birds singing. Guests are welcome to use the garden and will find the top patio area a day long suntrap. Graham’s veggie patch is also a feature as he grows herbs and strawberries, which supplement the Bees Knees Menus.
Guest who smoke are welcome to use the garden. There is a patio area with seating at the top of the gargen.
